Impact investment platform TILT has launched a ₹250 crore venture fund to back early-stage startups building solutions for India’s underserved and emerging consumer base. The fund, backed by entrepreneurs and investors including Binny Bansal, Deep Kalra, Hari Menon and Vidit Aatrey, will focus on startups from the seed to Series A stages.

TILT plans to invest between ₹2 crore and ₹16 crore in each company. Its focus areas include agriculture, climate resilience, MSME productivity, financial inclusion, employability, informal work and technology-led livelihood solutions. The fund will also consider startups using AI and other technologies to address challenges around access, income and economic opportunity.

Cofounded by Atul Satija and Richa Singh, TILT builds on the work of The/Nudge Foundation, which has spent the past eight years supporting social enterprises focused on livelihoods. During this period, The/Nudge has backed more than 190 social enterprises and provided around ₹180 crore in grants.

The new fund is designed around what TILT describes as “patient capital”. Impact-focused startups often need more time to build distribution networks, prove product-market fit and establish sustainable economics, particularly when serving lower-income or harder-to-reach markets. TILT plans to support founders not only with capital but also through research, partnerships, market access and ecosystem infrastructure.

Over the next 15 years, TILT aims to back more than 150 startups and positively impact 100 million people. The launch comes as more Indian investment vehicles target early-stage companies, but TILT’s focus is narrower: backing businesses where commercial scale and measurable social impact need to grow together.
