NapTapGo, the capsule hotel startup that gained national attention after its appearance on Shark Tank India, has raised ₹8 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The fresh capital will fuel the company's expansion as it looks to bring affordable, technology-driven hospitality to more cities across the country.
Founded by Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla, NapTapGo is reimagining budget accommodation through compact pod-style hotels designed for business travelers, solo tourists, pilgrims, and transit passengers. Unlike traditional hotels, the startup offers flexible check-in times and pay-for-duration stays, making short and overnight stays more convenient and affordable.
The company currently operates properties in Noida, Amritsar, and Katra, where it has already served more than 10,000 guests. Its mature locations have recorded strong occupancy, highlighting growing demand for smart, space-efficient accommodation in India.
The newly raised capital will primarily be used to expand NapTapGo's footprint through a capital-efficient co-investment model with local partners while retaining operational control to ensure a consistent customer experience. The startup is also exploring opportunities beyond city hotels, including transit-focused locations that cater to travelers on the move.
India's hospitality industry is witnessing rising demand for affordable, flexible stays as domestic travel continues to grow. Capsule hotels, once considered a niche concept, are gradually becoming a practical option for travelers looking for clean, convenient, and cost-effective accommodation.
With fresh funding in hand, NapTapGo aims to scale its presence nationwide and establish itself as a leading player in India's emerging pod hotel segment.
