Fractal's Profit Nearly Doubles to Rs 72 Crore, Even as Growth Cools From Its Post-IPO Highs

Six months after its stock market debut, Fractal is still delivering the kind of numbers that make investors sit up, just not quite at the pace it set a quarter earlier. The Mumbai-headquartered AI and advanced analytics company reported a 92% jump in profit after tax for the June 2026 quarter, touching Rs 72.3 crore compared to Rs 37.7 crore a year ago.

Revenue told a similarly strong, if more measured, story. Operating revenue grew nearly 20% year-on-year to Rs 912.5 crore, up from Rs 760.5 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, though, the picture cools off, growth slowed to just 2.9% over the previous quarter's Rs 886.3 crore, and profit actually declined 37.6% from the Rs 115.8 crore posted in Q4 FY26. Expenses grew nearly 17% to Rs 755.6 crore, keeping pace with, but not outrunning, the topline.

Context matters here. Fractal only went public in February 2026, raising Rs 2,834 crore through its IPO and listing on the NSE and BSE at a market cap of roughly Rs 15,000 crore. Since then, its quarterly results have been watched closely as an early signal of whether India's enterprise AI services companies can sustain the growth that got them to the public markets in the first place.

The healthcare and life sciences vertical has repeatedly been the company's strongest engine, growing sharply across recent quarters, while segments like telecom, media, and technology have lagged or even contracted. That uneven mix, some businesses sprinting while others stall, is probably the more honest story behind the quarter's headline number.

For a company still finding its rhythm as a public entity, the quarter reads less like a triumph and more like a steadying: strong year-on-year growth, but the easy comparisons are starting to run out.
