Furniture and appliance rental platform RentoMojo reported a sharp improvement in FY26, with restated profit after tax rising nearly 142% year-on-year to ₹104.2 crore from ₹43.1 crore. Operating revenue also jumped 45.5% to ₹387 crore, giving the IPO-bound startup stronger financial momentum ahead of its planned listing.

Part of the profit surge came from a one-time tax credit of ₹36.6 crore during the year. RentoMojo’s EBITDA increased 38% to ₹163.5 crore, although its EBITDA margin softened to 41.5% from 43.6% in FY25. Including other income, the company’s total income stood at ₹394 crore.

Operationally, the rental platform continued to expand its footprint. RentoMojo operated 20 warehouses and 82 offline stores across 29 cities at the end of March 2026, with a portfolio of 8.5 lakh furniture and appliance products. It served around 2.5 lakh active users during the year, while gross items ordered increased 42.5% to 9.89 lakh. Product occupancy also improved slightly to 83.3%.

That growth came with higher spending. Total expenses rose 41.5% to ₹323.9 crore, while employee costs climbed to ₹60.8 crore. Contractual manpower spending reached ₹38 crore, logistics expenses increased to nearly ₹28 crore, and performance marketing almost doubled to ₹20.9 crore as RentoMojo invested further in expansion.

The numbers arrive as RentoMojo prepares for an IPO comprising a fresh issue of ₹150 crore and an offer for sale of 2.7 crore shares. Cofounder Geetansh Bamania and early investors including Accel and Chiratae Ventures are among those planning partial exits. While the tax benefit boosted FY26 profit, rising revenue, order volumes and utilisation show the underlying rental business is also scaling ahead of its public-market test.
