NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha says the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub is strengthening Andhra Pradesh's startup ecosystem by connecting innovators with industry, mentorship, technical support, and market opportunities.
Building a successful startup often takes more than a great idea; it requires the right guidance, industry connections, and access to opportunities. According to NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha, the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) is playing exactly that role by helping entrepreneurs turn promising ideas into thriving businesses across Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the MSME Utsav 2026, organised at the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub in Enikepadu near Vijayawada on the occasion of International MSME Day, Lakshmisha said the State government is committed to strengthening the startup ecosystem by supporting aspiring entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.
He described RTIH as a game-changing initiative, explaining that it brings young innovators and experienced industrialists onto a common platform where they can collaborate, exchange ideas, and build meaningful business partnerships. According to the Collector, even a small idea can evolve into a successful enterprise when backed by the right mentorship, technical expertise, and market access.
Lakshmisha also highlighted the importance of MSME Utsavs, saying such events provide startups with valuable exposure, business guidance, technical assistance, and opportunities to connect with potential customers and industry leaders. During the event, he visited exhibition stalls where more than 80 exhibitors, including several young innovators and women entrepreneurs, showcased their products and innovations.
Adding to the discussion, A.P. Chamber of Commerce President P. Bhaskara Rao said Andhra Pradesh is steadily emerging as an industrial hub. He noted that around 7,000 to 8,000 startups have already received support from RTIH and that nearly 90% of the state's industries belong to the MSME sector, underlining the sector's importance in driving economic growth.
The festival witnessed participation from over 500 industrial representatives and visitors, reflecting the growing interest in entrepreneurship and innovation across the state. As Andhra Pradesh continues investing in startup infrastructure, initiatives like RTIH are becoming important catalysts in helping entrepreneurs convert ideas into sustainable businesses while contributing to regional economic development.
