Oppex AI Raises ₹4.2 Cr to Automate Production Incident Response

Bengaluru-based Oppex AI has raised ₹4.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures. The AI-native production operations startup will use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, expand its team and scale deployments with enterprise customers.

Launched in June 2025 by Prasun Kumar and Pranit Kumar, Oppex is building an agentic platform designed to shift production incident management from human-led firefighting to AI-led operations. Its system brings together information from observability tools, cloud infrastructure, customer support, internal runbooks and other enterprise systems to understand what is going wrong in production.

The platform is designed to help engineering teams detect, investigate and resolve incidents faster. Instead of developers manually moving between logs, metrics and different internal tools to find a root cause, Oppex aims to create a single AI layer that can connect these signals and assist with — or eventually automate — remediation.

That problem is becoming more relevant as AI speeds up software development. Companies can now ship code faster, but higher deployment velocity can also make production environments more complex. Oppex is betting that AI can help operations teams keep reliability, customer experience and system stability from becoming bottlenecks as development accelerates.

The startup says its platform is already being adopted by enterprise customers across India, the UK, the European Union and the US. With the new funding, Oppex plans to deepen its agentic capabilities and expand enterprise deployments. Its bigger test will be whether AI can move beyond identifying production problems to reliably resolving them without creating new risks for engineering teams.
