In line with this shift, Mukesh Bansal-led Nurix AI has acquired conversational AI startup Verloop.io. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the acquisition marks a significant step in Nurix AI's ambition to build a unified enterprise AI platform that combines both voice and chat capabilities.
Until now, Nurix AI has been focused on voice-based AI through its flagship platform, NuPlay. Verloop.io, on the other hand, has built its expertise around conversational chat automation, helping businesses automate customer support across digital channels. By bringing the two together, Nurix AI aims to offer enterprises a single platform capable of handling conversations seamlessly across voice calls, messaging apps and other customer touchpoints.
The acquisition also brings considerable scale. Verloop.io currently supports more than 20 million customer interactions every month across industries including banking, financial services, fintech, retail and telecommunications. Its integration is expected to strengthen Nurix AI's footprint across India and the Middle East, where enterprise demand for AI-powered customer engagement continues to accelerate.
As part of the transaction, Verloop.io founder Gaurav Singh will join Nurix AI's leadership team, contributing to product strategy, enterprise expansion and the development of next-generation AI agents.
The deal reflects a broader transformation in enterprise technology. Businesses are no longer looking for separate AI tools for voice, chat and workflow automation they increasingly want one intelligent system that can understand, respond and execute tasks across multiple channels. By combining complementary strengths, Nurix AI is positioning itself to meet that demand, signalling that the future of enterprise AI will be defined less by individual features and more by connected, end-to-end automation.
