Kepler Aerospace Raises $8 Mn to Scale Space Intelligence Infrastructure

Bengaluru-based spacetech startup Kepler Aerospace has raised $8 million in a seed funding round led by Blue Ashva Capital, with participation from Finvolve India Accelerator and other investors. The fresh capital will be used to develop next-generation space-based intelligence systems while expanding the company’s mission operations and avionics-as-a-service businesses.

Founded in 2018 by Navneet Singh and Kiran Sharma, Kepler builds space and ground infrastructure for strategic, defence and commercial missions. Its capabilities span satellite avionics and subsystems, ground infrastructure, mission operations and space-based intelligence, with the company focusing on reliability, automation and secure mission management.

A major part of Kepler’s technology roadmap revolves around persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, or ISR. The startup aims to reduce the time required to access actionable space-based intelligence from months to minutes by combining satellite systems with integrated ground and mission infrastructure.

Kepler has already secured two iDEX prime contracts to provide swarming ISR constellations for India’s defence space ecosystem, backed by around $4 million in grants under the programme. It also operates a network of more than 70 ground stations supporting satellite communication, tracking, telemetry, command and mission operations for different space missions.

The funding comes as India’s private spacetech ecosystem continues to expand, with around 440 registered spacetech startups as of August 2026. Companies such as Digantara, Pixxel, Dhruva Space, GalaxEye and InspeCity are also building different layers of the country’s emerging space infrastructure. For Kepler, the new capital provides room to move from technology development towards a larger operational platform spanning intelligence, satellite infrastructure and mission services.
