InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have officially announced their merger, bringing together two major insurtech distribution networks under a single platform. The combined entity will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand, with founder and CEO Ankit Agrawal continuing to lead the business.
The merger significantly expands the company’s geographic reach. InsuranceDekho already has a strong presence across northern and western India, while RenewBuy adds a deeper network across southern markets. Together, the companies now reach 98.57% of India’s pin codes and work with more than 6 lakh digital insurance partners.
The combined platform will distribute motor, health, life and commercial insurance products from multiple insurers. Both companies also plan to integrate their technology systems and use AI across partner onboarding, product recommendations and insurance advisory, while expanding digital tools for policy issuance and customer service.
In FY26, the merged network generated more than ₹6,600 crore in insurance premiums through its POSP ecosystem. Since inception, InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have collectively facilitated more than 2 crore policies, giving the merged company considerable distribution scale as it pushes deeper into Tier-2, Tier-3 and smaller Indian markets.
The merger also comes as InsuranceDekho prepares for a possible public listing. The company is reportedly targeting a DRHP filing by the end of September and an IPO by March 2027, with a proposed issue size of ₹2,500–₹3,000 crore. By combining distribution strength, technology and a larger partner base before that process, InsuranceDekho is positioning itself as a broader national insurance platform rather than just another digital broker.
