Google has unveiled its Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, Pixel Watch 5 and first Pixel Tag tracker at its Made by Google 2026 event, putting Gemini AI at the centre of its latest hardware ecosystem.
The launch includes four Pixel 11 models: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The new phones combine upgraded camera hardware and displays with Google's latest Tensor G6 processor and a wider range of Gemini-powered features.
The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899 in the US, while the Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899, according to launch coverage from The Verge and Wired.
Google has also expanded the camera-focused capabilities of the Pro models. New tools include Magic Capture, Camera Looks and Pro Stable Video, with the Pro phones supporting 8K video recording. The company is also adding a HiLight system that can provide visual alerts when the phone is face down.
Magic Capture is aimed at situations where users want to preserve a moment while recording. The feature combines photo and video capture into a more automated workflow, allowing users to create a collection of moments without stopping their recording.
Google is making Gemini a larger part of the Pixel experience rather than treating it as a separate assistant. The company is adding features designed to help users find information, take actions and manage everyday tasks directly from their devices.
That direction follows Google's broader AI strategy. At Google I/O 2026, the company introduced Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5, while expanding AI agents and multimodal experiences across its products.
The new Pixel phones also introduce AI features for communication and media. Google has demonstrated real-time media translation and more advanced speech-to-text capabilities, while Gemini can assist with tasks based on information appearing on the phone.
The Pixel Watch 5 is the second major hardware part of the launch. Google is offering the smartwatch in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with the new generation using a Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 platform and adding new health and safety capabilities.
The Watch 5 starts at $399, according to The Verge. New health-related features include Breathing Emergency Detection and Blood Pressure Trends, although some capabilities depend on regulatory approval and market availability.
Google has already been moving Gemini onto its watches. Its Pixel Watch support documentation says Gemini can act as an always-available assistant from the wrist, provided the connected phone and watch meet the required software and regional conditions.
The third major announcement is Pixel Tag, Google's entry into the item-tracking market. The small tracker is priced at $29 and works with Android devices through Google's Find Hub network. It also supports ultra-wideband for precision finding on compatible devices and is designed to provide more than a year of battery life.
Pixel Tag gives Google another hardware layer around its Find Hub ecosystem. Instead of limiting location tracking to smartphones and watches, the company can now connect everyday objects to the same broader network.
For Google, the significance of this launch goes beyond individual devices. Pixel phones, watches and accessories are increasingly being designed around a common AI layer, with Gemini connecting different parts of the ecosystem.
That strategy was already visible in Google's earlier Pixel updates. The June 2026 Pixel Drop introduced AI-powered video and music creation, screen-recording reactions and additional Gemini capabilities across Pixel devices.
The launch also puts Google in a stronger position to compete in premium smartphones, smartwatches and connected-device tracking. The Pixel 11 range is entering a market dominated by established hardware ecosystems, while Pixel Tag takes Google into a category where Apple's AirTag has already created strong consumer awareness.
The biggest question now is whether Google's deeper integration of Gemini can make Pixel devices meaningfully different from competing Android hardware. The new phones and Watch 5 begin pre-orders in the US, while availability and pricing vary by market.
For Indian buyers, Google has already listed the Pixel 11 series on its India store with pre-orders beginning August 12. The company is also continuing its strategy of expanding Pixel's retail and service presence in India.
Made by Google 2026 therefore marks another step in Google's shift from selling individual devices to building an interconnected hardware and AI ecosystem. The Pixel 11, Watch 5 and Pixel Tag are the latest pieces of that strategy.
