Digital lending platform Fibe has filed for a ₹750 crore IPO, aiming to strengthen its lending business while giving early investors an exit. The move highlights growing confidence in profitable fintech companies entering India's public markets.
For years, getting a personal loan meant paperwork, long approval cycles, and multiple visits to a bank branch. Fintech startups changed that equation, and Fibe has been one of the companies leading this digital lending revolution. Now, it's preparing for its biggest milestone yet.
Lending-tech startup Fibe, formerly known as EarlySalary, has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an initial public offering (IPO). The public issue will comprise a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹750 crore, along with an offer for sale (OFS) of more than 4 crore shares by existing investors.
The IPO will provide liquidity to several early backers, including TPG, Norwest Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, Chiratae Ventures, Piramal Finance, TR Capital, and IDG Ventures, with TPG emerging as the largest selling shareholder in the offer. Meanwhile, the company plans to deploy a significant portion of the fresh capital into its NBFC subsidiary, EarlySalary Services Pvt. Ltd., where nearly ₹562.6 crore will be invested over the next two financial years to strengthen its lending operations. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
Founded in 2015 by Akshay Mehrotra and Ashish Goyal, Fibe has grown into one of India's leading digital lending platforms by offering instant personal loans and credit products through a technology-first approach. The company has also demonstrated strong financial momentum, reporting a net profit of ₹257.5 crore in FY26, more than double the previous year's figure, while operating revenue climbed 31% to ₹1,584.6 crore.
As India's fintech ecosystem matures, profitable startups are increasingly looking toward public markets for their next phase of growth. Fibe's IPO filing signals that investors are now rewarding businesses that combine rapid scale with sustainable financial performancean encouraging sign for the country's evolving digital lending landscape.
