India's electric vehicle market is entering a new phase one where intelligence could become just as important as electrification.
Bengaluru-based mobility startup E3 Electric.AI has raised ₹100 crore in a Series A funding round, giving the company fresh momentum as it prepares to launch its first AI-powered electric scooter, E3 TRION.
The newly raised capital will be deployed to accelerate product development, strengthen the company's technology stack, expand intellectual property, and build its presence across India ahead of its commercial rollout.
Founded in 2024 by P. Sanjeev, a former EV industry executive, E3 Electric.AI is developing modular electric scooters that integrate artificial intelligence into the riding experience. Rather than focusing only on battery range or performance, the company aims to improve ownership through AI-powered capabilities such as predictive maintenance, intelligent diagnostics, battery health monitoring, and smarter route optimization.
The startup's modular vehicle platform is designed to support multiple scooter variants while enabling future upgrades without requiring an entirely new vehicle architecture. This approach allows the company to adapt quickly as technology and customer expectations evolve.
India's electric two-wheeler market has become one of the world's most competitive, with startups and established manufacturers racing to introduce smarter, safer, and more connected vehicles. As software increasingly becomes a key differentiator, AI-powered mobility solutions are expected to play a larger role in the next generation of electric transportation.
