Most short-form feeds are designed to make users watch the next piece of content. Bengaluru-based DubDub is trying to make every swipe demand a response instead. The seven-month-old trivia and puzzle startup has raised $1.3 million in seed funding to expand its interactive entertainment platform.
The round was co-led by 3one4 Capital, Antler and Stellaris Venture Partners. DubDub plans to use the capital to hire across product and engineering, introduce more interactive formats and improve personalisation inside its feed.
Founded in March 2026 by Kaustubh Priye and Supan Shah, the app replaces a conventional video-style feed with quick questions, puzzles and mini-games. Each swipe can ask users to answer, recognise, solve, predict or compete across more than 20 categories, including cricket, Bollywood, pop culture, general knowledge, mythology and logical reasoning.
The product also layers competition onto the feed through head-to-head challenges, private multiplayer rooms, daily streaks and leaderboards. DubDub says AI and user behaviour are used to decide which challenges appear next. The app is currently free and advertises no ads or paywalled categories.
DubDub has crossed 20,000 downloads in roughly seven months. The company says its early retention is above the top percentile of casual games, but it has not published the actual retention rate, benchmark or measurement period. Revenue and a longer-term monetisation model have also not been disclosed publicly.
Priye and Shah previously built hospital-processing startup Aldun, which Care.Fi acquired in January 2026. Two months later, they launched DubDub — a sharp move from enterprise healthtech into consumer entertainment.
DubDub’s bet is simple but difficult: if scrolling is already habitual, perhaps the next consumer product does not need to eliminate the feed. It just needs to make every swipe interactive enough that users feel they are playing rather than merely watching.
