Healthcare supply-chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round led by Equentis, with participation from existing investor 100Unicorns, Vinners and a group of strategic angel investors. The fresh capital will support the company’s expansion as it looks to build a larger prescription-compliant quick-commerce network across India.
The Bengaluru-based startup plans to set up 100 new compliant and licensed dark stores and expand from more than 12 cities to over 50. DocPharma currently operates as a backend supply-chain partner for healthcare businesses rather than a consumer-facing pharmacy, allowing platforms to offer faster medicine and healthcare-product delivery without building their own fulfilment infrastructure.
Founded in 2023 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma works with more than 30 healthcare and wellness platforms across categories including e-pharmacies, hospitals, insurers, corporate wellness, D2C health brands and nutraceutical companies. Its network has fulfilled more than 8 lakh orders so far, with the company claiming a fulfilment rate above 95%.
At the centre of the business is DocPharma One, its proprietary SaaS platform that combines warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and prescription-compliant fulfilment. The system gives partners real-time inventory visibility and routes orders to the nearest compliant centre, while the wider network supports hyperlocal, same-day and next-day delivery models.
For DocPharma, the opportunity lies in solving a difficult part of healthcare quick commerce: delivering faster without compromising pharmacy licences, prescription checks or inventory reliability. The new funding gives it room to expand the physical dark-store network behind that model, but the bigger test will be whether it can maintain compliance and fulfilment quality while scaling from a dozen cities to more than 50.
