CoRover and Tech Mahindra Partner to Take India-Built AI Global

Conversational AI startup CoRover.ai has partnered with Tech Mahindra to develop and deploy India-origin artificial intelligence solutions for enterprises, governments and public institutions globally. The collaboration will combine CoRover’s BharatGPT platform with Tech Mahindra’s Project Indus and its enterprise agentic AI platform, TechM Orion.

Financial terms and deployment targets were not disclosed. The partnership will focus on sovereign AI, enterprise AI, agentic AI and digital public infrastructure. The companies say the aim is to create systems that can meet local requirements around language, context, data and operations while still being deployable across different industries and geographies. Rather than developing another standalone foundation model, the partnership is centred on turning existing Indian AI technologies into production- ready applications.

CoRover’s contribution is BharatGPT, its generative and conversational AI platform designed around Indian languages and use cases. The company says BharatGPT supports voice in more than 14 Indian languages and can operate across text, voice and video. CoRover positions the platform for sectors including banking, healthcare, retail, travel and government services.

Tech Mahindra brings Project Indus, an indigenous language model whose first phase was designed for Hindi and more than 37 dialects, alongside TechM Orion. Orion is an enterprise agentic AI platform designed to create, deploy and govern AI agents across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments. Together, the technologies give the partnership both a multilingual model layer and enterprise deployment infrastructure.

The bigger test will be commercial adoption. India has produced a growing number of language- focused and sovereign AI initiatives, but moving from model development to repeatable enterprise deployments requires integration, security, governance and industry-specific workflows. For CoRover and Tech Mahindra, the opportunity is to show that AI developed around India’s linguistic complexity can also become commercially relevant in other multilingual markets.
