Indore-based edtech startup Arivihan has raised $10 million in a Series A round co-led by existing investors Accel and Prosus Ventures, with another $200,000 coming from existing GSF angel investors. The round takes the company’s total funding to more than $15 million, following a $4.17 million pre-Series A in July 2025.
Founded in 2022 by IIT Roorkee alumni Ritesh Singh Chandel and Sonu Kumar, along with educator Rushabh Kothari, Arivihan is building an automated AI tutoring platform for school students. Its product combines interactive video lessons, instant doubt-solving and adaptive study plans designed around individual student performance rather than relying on continuous live-teacher instruction.
The fresh capital will be used to expand across additional states and the CBSE curriculum, deepen Arivihan’s presence in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar, and strengthen its AI research and vernacular-language capabilities. The company is also planning wider performance marketing, on-ground distribution and additional exam-preparation offerings.
Arivihan’s strategy is particularly focused on students outside India’s largest cities. The company says around 80% of its subscribers come from smaller cities and rural areas. CEO Ritesh Singh Chandel separately told The Times of India that roughly 4–4.5 lakh students had taken its new ₹51 annual entry plan this year, compared with about 25,000 paying students under its earlier pricing model. The subscriber increase should not be treated as equivalent to comparable revenue growth, as Arivihan has not disclosed revenue or conversion into higher-priced plans.
The bigger test is whether AI can deliver useful personalisation at mass-market pricing while maintaining learning quality across different boards, languages and student abilities. Arivihan says its automated model can scale more efficiently than conventional coaching, but that remains a company claim. With the new funding, execution will increasingly depend on student retention, measurable learning outcomes and whether vernacular AI tutoring can remain effective as the platform expands nationwide .
