Early investors in media SaaS company Amagi have monetised part of their holdings through large block deals worth ₹587.3 crore. Venture capital firms Accel and AVP, formerly AXA Venture Partners, collectively sold more than one crore Amagi shares as the company’s post-IPO lock-in period came to an end.

The shares changed hands at ₹560 apiece, around a 3% discount to Amagi’s previous closing price. Accel-linked entities sold more than 54 lakh shares, while AVP and affiliate Trudy Holdings together offloaded over 50 lakh shares. Before the transaction, Accel held an 11.5% stake in Amagi on a fully diluted basis at the end of the June quarter.

The supply was absorbed by a mix of domestic and global institutional investors. SBI Mutual Fund emerged as the largest buyer with 50.9 lakh shares, while HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company acquired 17.9 lakh shares and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund bought another 9.3 lakh. Tata Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund, Susquehanna and BofA Securities were also among the buyers.

The transaction comes after a strong run for Amagi’s stock. The cloud broadcasting company listed in January 2026 and its shares have since risen more than 89% from their listing price. That rally has been supported by improving financial performance, with Amagi reporting an 8.6X year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹33.9 crore in Q1 FY27. Operating revenue also grew 32.4% to ₹436.9 crore during the quarter.

Founded in 2008 by Baskar Subramanian, Srinivasan KA and Srividhya Srinivasan, Amagi provides cloud-based technology that helps content companies launch, manage and monetise streaming channels. The latest block deals give early investors partial liquidity while bringing more institutional shareholders onto Amagi’s cap table — a common shift as venture-backed technology companies mature in the public markets.
