A91 Partners has already monetised a significant part of its investment in consumer appliance startup Atomberg, selling shares worth around ₹445 crore while continuing to hold a 21.02% stake in the company. The disclosures, made in Atomberg’s IPO papers, offer a closer look at one of the investor’s notable consumer-sector bets.

A91 invested roughly ₹143 crore in Atomberg through a mix of primary and secondary transactions. Around ₹118 crore went directly into the company as primary capital, while another ₹25 crore was used to acquire shares from existing shareholders. Against that investment, the fund has already generated about ₹445 crore through partial stake sales — while still remaining Atomberg’s largest shareholder.

The relationship dates back to 2019, when A91 led Atomberg’s Series A round, and the fund later participated in its Series B financing in 2020. Atomberg’s DRHP also shows that founders and investors have collectively sold shares worth nearly ₹683 crore through secondary transactions since 2019. A91 accounted for the largest share of these sales, followed by early investor Parampara.

Founded by Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das, Atomberg began with energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans before expanding into kitchen appliances, water purifiers and smart locks. The company reported ₹1,293.77 crore in revenue from operations in FY26, up 34.8% year-on-year, although it recorded a net loss of about ₹149 crore.

For A91, the numbers show how an early venture investment can generate meaningful liquidity even before a complete exit. With Atomberg now preparing for the public markets, the investor has already recovered several times its original investment while retaining a sizeable position — giving it continued exposure to the company’s next phase of growth.
