Virat Kohli-backed menswear brand Wrogn recorded ₹244 crore in operatingrevenue in FY26, up 9% from ₹223 crore a year earlier, marking a return to growth after its revenue declined in FY25. Including interest income and gains on financial assets, the Bengaluru-based company’s total income increased to around ₹254 crore from ₹232 crore.

Growth, however, came with higher losses. Wrogn’s net loss widened 17% to ₹88.4 crore, compared with ₹75.5 crore in FY25, as total expenditure climbed 9.5% to ₹342.4 crore. Its EBITDA margin nevertheless improved to negative 27.6% from negative 30.8%, indicating some improvement in operating efficidespite the larger bottom-line loss.

Brand-building remained a major expense. Marketing costs jumped 44% to ₹57.8 crore, while brand consultancy expenses more than doubled to ₹19.7 crore.

Employee costs also rose 14% to ₹44.2 crore. Materials remained Wrogn’s largest cost item at ₹119.7 crore, although that figure declined 5% year-on-year.

Overall, the company spent about ₹1.40 to generate every rupee of operating revenue during FY26.

Wrogn, operated by Universal Sportsbiz Private Limited, sells casual menswear, footwear and accessories through marketplaces, large-format retailers and its own channels. The company says its adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to ₹38 crore from ₹54 crore after excluding a one-time non-operational expense, highlighting the difference between its adjusted operating performance and reported net loss.

Early FY27 numbers indicate faster topline momentum. Wrogn reported ₹125 crore in Q1 GMV, up 40% year-on-year, while its D2C and exclusive-store channels grew 120%. The brand is targeting ₹600 crore in GMV for FY27 and plans to expand to more than 100 exclusive stores by March 2027. The key test now is whether that growth can translate into sustained improvement in profitability as Wrogn continues spending on marketing, retail expansion and newer categories.
