Shiprocket made a strong entry into the public markets on Wednesday, with its shares listing at ₹131 on the NSE and ₹129.50 on the BSE. That put the ecommerce enablement company about 35% above its IPO issue price of ₹97, giving investors a healthy gain on the first day itself.
The debut came after an IPO that had already seen heavy demand. Shiprocket’s ₹1,617.5 crore public issue, which was open between August 12 and August 14, was subscribed nearly 99 times overall. Institutional investors were especially bullish, with the qualified institutional buyer portion seeing more than 122 times subscription.
The strong listing also pushed Shiprocket’s market value to roughly ₹9,500 crore. Founded by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor and Vishesh Khurana, the Gurugram-based company has built its business around helping online sellers manage shipping, fulfilment, payments, checkout and cross-border commerce through one platform.
Its business has continued to grow as well. Shiprocket reported a 24% year-on-year rise in operating revenue to ₹2,024 crore in FY26. Losses, however, widened slightly to around ₹79 crore during the year, showing that profitability is still a work in progress even as the company continues to scale.
The listing now marks a major shift for Shiprocket. After years of building as a private startup, the company will now be watched closely by public market investors. The strong debut gives it a good start, but the bigger test will be whether it can turn that scale into stronger profitability over the coming years.
