As consumers increasingly ask AI platforms for recommendations instead of scrolling through traditional search results, a new category of marketing tools is emerging around one question: how does a brand get mentioned inside the answer? Mumbai-based Unveilr AI is betting that this shift could reshape search marketing.
The startup has raised an undisclosed pre-seed round from Aviral Bhatnagar’s AJVC at a valuation of ₹16.7 crore. The fresh capital will be used to expand its engineering team, build additional capabilities into its AI agents and strengthen sales across India, the UAE and the US. Founded by Sanditya Srivastava and launched in February 2026, Unveilr AI combines conventional Search Engine Optimisation with Answer Engine Optimisation, or AEO.
Its technology tracks how brands appear not only on Google but also across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude.
The platform’s AI agents identify questions where competing brands are being recommended, examine the sources influencing those responses and surface opportunities across content, technical optimisation and online authority. The idea is to help companies compete for visibility in AI-generated answers in much the same way businesses have historically competed for the top positions on search engines.
Unveilr AI says early customers are already seeing measurable changes. An Indian B2B legal services company reportedly recorded a 4.7X increase in AI-sourced traffic and a fivefold jump in leads, alongside an 80% rise in ChatGPT citations. For another D2C customer, organic search now contributes roughly 27% of revenue. For Unveilr AI, the opportunity is bigger than another SEO tool. As discovery starts shifting from lists of links toward direct AI-generated responses, the fight for digital visibility may increasingly be about becoming part of the answer itself.
