Diagnostics and wellness testing platform Healthians turned profitable for the first time in FY26, marking an important financial milestone after coming close to breakeven a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased 35.7% to ₹357 crore from ₹263 crore in FY25, while the company posted a net profit of ₹5.4 crore compared with a ₹4.77 crore loss. Diagnostics remained overwhelmingly central to the business, generating ₹353 crore, or about 99% of operating revenue. Healthians offers at-home diagnostic services across more than 250 cities and says it has conducted over 10 crore tests to date. Including ₹5 crore in interest income, total revenue reached ₹362 crore during FY26. Costs continued to rise as the company expanded. Employee benefits remained its largest expense at ₹134 crore, up 28% year-on-year, while material costs stood at ₹109 crore. Marketing expenses came in at ₹44 crore, while total expenditure increased 32.4% to ₹364 crore from ₹275 crore in the previous fiscal year. Revenue growing faster than expenses helped push Healthians into the black. Its EBITDA margin improved to 2.2%, although the company still spent ₹1.02 for every rupee of operating revenue and carried accumulated losses of ₹976 crore. That makes FY26 an important turnaround year, but also shows that profitability remains relatively thin. Healthians has raised around $75 million from investors including WestBridge, BEENEXT, DG Ventures and YouWeCan, and competes with players such as Orange Health, Redcliffe Labs and Dr Lal PathLabs. The company is also navigating a leadership transition after founder Deepak Sahni stepped away from formal executive responsibilities in January 2026. With profitability finally achieved, the next test is whether Healthians can protect margins while continuing to scale in India’s increasingly competitive diagnostics market.
