Furniture rental company Furlenco continued its financial turnaround in FY26, with revenue from operations rising 62% year-on-year to ₹370.43 crore from ₹228.74 crore in FY25. Profit surged more than 19X to ₹59.52 crore from just ₹3.11 crore a year earlier, as revenue growth outpaced the rise in expenses.

Furniture rentals remained the core of the Bengaluru-based company’s business, contributing ₹341.07 crore, or around 92% of operating revenue. Revenue from this segment grew 64% during the year, while product sales increased 38% to ₹29.36 crore. Including other income, Furlenco’s total income stood at ₹375.42 crore.

The improvement comes after Sheela Foam acquired a 35% stake in Furlenco. Since then, the company’s operating revenue has grown from ₹140 crore in FY24 to more than ₹370 crore in FY26, marking a 2.6X increase in two years. Furlenco provides furniture and home décor on rent along with relocation services.

Costs also increased as the business scaled. Total expenses rose 45.1% to ₹343.85 crore, while depreciation and finance costs climbed sharply. Employee expenses increased to ₹36.18 crore and material costs nearly tripled to ₹27.01 crore. Despite this, EBITDA almost doubled to ₹129.5 crore, pushing EBITDA margin to 35.01%, while ROCE improved to 13.17%.

Furlenco also improved its unit economics, spending ₹0.93 for every rupee of operating revenue compared with ₹1.03 in FY25. Cash and bank balances more than doubled to ₹75 crore. With rival Rentomojo moving towards an IPO, Furlenco’s stronger profitability and rapid revenue growth suggest India’s furniture rental category is beginning to mature into a more financially sustainable consumer business.
