India’s toy manufacturing push has a new capital boost. Bengaluru-based BIDSO has raised ₹63 crore in Series A funding as it looks to expand production capacity, strengthen product design and build a larger manufacturing network for consumer brands.

The round was led by Blume Ventures and included ₹51 crore in equity and ₹12 crore in venture debt. Existing investors Peer Capital and Sadev Capital also participated, while Alteria Capital provided the debt component. BIDSO had previously raised $1.5 million across its pre-seed and seed rounds.

Founded in 2022 by Aditya Krishnakumar, Vivek Singhal and Rahul Agarwal, BIDSO operates as a design-led manufacturing platform. Instead of functioning only as a factory aggregator, the company works across product design, engineering, licensing and manufacturing, helping brands take customised products from concept to large-scale production.

BIDSO says its traction has accelerated through partnerships with global toy brands and licensing agreements involving properties such as Peppa Pig, Harry Potter, Transformers and NASA. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its manufacturing footprint and production capacity, improve design capabilities and broaden its product portfolio. It also intends to eventually move beyond toys into adjacent consumer categories.

The expansion comes alongside sharp revenue growth. BIDSO’s revenue increased to ₹41.25 crore in FY25 from ₹7.52 crore in FY24, while losses rose modestly to ₹6.44 crore from ₹5.67 crore. As India pushes to strengthen domestic manufacturing, BIDSO is betting that combining product development with a network of SME manufacturers can help local factories compete for larger branded and global orders.
